The Supersede Command

There may be instances where a new document is intended to replace an older document. In this case, the older document can be superseded.

To supersede a document:

  1. Select Supersede from the document's Actions drop-down menu on a search results page.

  2. Click OK when asked to confirm the supersede process.

  3. Click Recently Edited Documents, Checked Out, or one of your saved searches in the Quick Retrieve window.

  4. Select the new (superseding) document, then click OK.
