Search Objects

Depending on your setup, your DM administrator might have configured various search objects for you to use. These pre-configured search objects return a list of documents based on the criteria related to the item’s value under which you select the search object. Search objects can be within each level and/or enumerations.

Table 5-1: Default Search Objects

All Documents and Emails The All Documents and Emails search object returns all documents and email messages.
My Recent Edits The My Recent Edits search object returns all documents (including email messages) that you have edited or saved within the last set number of days.
The DM administrator configures the number of days considered to be recent. The default value is 30.
My Recent Documents The My Recent Documents search object returns all documents (excluding email messages) that you have edited or saved within the last set number of days.
The DM administrator configures the number of days considered to be recent. The default value is 30.
My Recent Emails The My Recent Emails search object returns all email messages that you have saved within the last set number of days.
The DM administrator configures the number of days considered to be recent. The default value is 30.
My Documents The My Documents search object returns all documents that you have authored.
My Emails The My Emails search object returns all emails that you have authored.
My Documents and Emails The My Documents and Emails search object returns all documents and email messages that you have authored.

To use a search object:

  1. Expand the flex folder nodes. For example, expand My Subscriptions.

  2. Expand the level or enumeration where you want to perform the search. For example, expand one of the matters.

  3. The search objects appear in the tree. Click the search object you want to use. For example, click My Recent Documents.

    In the search results pane, a list of documents and email messages appear that you have authored or saved for the expanded matter within the last set number of days.
