If your DM administrator has enabled the ability for you to create “ad-hoc” folders, you can create your own folders in the flex folder structure. Ad-hoc folders can be enabled on the client level, matter level, and/or enumeration levels. Depending on what your DM administrator has configured, this option might not be available in some or all levels. Ad-hoc folders use the DM folder structure and become part of the flex folder structure. Ad-hoc folders have a profile with metadata just like any other document in DM. The metadata is used to determine where the folder should appear in the flex folder structure. An ad-hoc folder created in a flex folder can be placed on any level of the flex folder structure (depending on the configuration).
Expand the flex folder node and locate the client or matter to which you want to add a folder.
Hover your cursor over the client/matter name; when the pop-up menu appears, select Add New >> Folder.
The Add Folder dialog box appears with the document profile form. Notice that the client and/or matter field(s) appear populated. Complete the profile form fields.
If you want the folder to be available to all users, select the Public Folder check box.
